just curious if there is enough interest to make a pipe tobacco pass worth starting. what say ye?

What are you thinking of? A full tin pass or a bunch of various samples?

probably just sealed tins... it would make it more manageable.

I'd be game, but with the average tin around $10 and the added weight of shipping multiple tins it might get kinda pricy.

The ones I have participated in in the past have been sampler passes of 2 to 4 ounces per baggy. Everyone takes a couple of pipefulls
of what they want and then adds new blends to the box.

I'd be game for something like this, but not full tins.

Try to keep the weight even or add a little for the pass administrator.
I'm right 98% of the time.  Who cares about the other 3%?

I'd be interested in this. Why couldn't we use a small flat rate box with usps? It would be roughly $5 and I'm sure we could fit quite a bit in there if it was packed good. Or even a med frb? That way it would be the same price for everyone?

I don't have enough "different" stuff to be able to contribute.  I just picked up pipes again about a month ago...

I might be persuaded to play along.  We talkin' all natural blends or will aromatics be in the mix?  I tend to prefer the naturals, but I've been known to find an aromatic or two that I enjoy...

I guess I'd have to know some particulars on this before I go all in on it I guess.

i'm still unsure of details... i'm just trying to get a sense of how many people might be interested in the general idea. for me, ideally we could get about a dozen folks for it, only sealed tins or pouches, no aros. i'm flexible on the rules to make sure that it will be fun and we can involve as many people as possible.

It sounds like a great idea, but I don't have tins, and don't have much in the way of non-aromatics.

I'd be interested as well.  I don't have a big stach but I carry a few ounces of about 4 blends at any given moment.

Stogimus Prime

What of we each buy a can of something different and bust it up unto 2.0 oz ziplock bags and mail it to the others on the list?  Low postage on a 2oz.  Maybe limit list to 4-5 people?

The one I'm in right now has about 30 different blends in it. Proubably 1 to 4 ounces per baggie. It started
with about 15 blends and has grown from there.
