wilderness is stupid good.

I've only had the Frog Morton there, but I loooove it.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." Welcome to the club. Glad you joined us.

Lately I've been smoking my pipes more frequently as I just acquired 2 estate pipes bringing my collection to 4. I haven't tried any of those tobaccos but I've heard good things about Frog Morton and the Purple Cow. Happy smoking.

Haven't had any of those. Just finished a bowl of Cornell & Diehl Black Duck and it was the bomb. Please post how those you bought do for you. I'm new to this too so still trying to find me feet with a pipe.

Nice! That's quite a collection already. I haven't tried any of those tobaccos, but would love to hear your thoughts when you've tried them. I often wish we had a review feature here for pipe 'baccy.

mcclealland... it's a very orientalcentric blend with a good amount of syrian latakia. smooth, creamy, sweet, sour, complex... slaps you in the mouth with tasty zing.

Hmmm... Sounds intriguing.  How's it compare w/ Bombay Extra?

well for starters bombay uses cyprian latakia, and wilderness uses syrian w/ cyprian... so that in itself makes for a huge difference in their character.  i'd say where bombay extra relies on the lat and perique to be front and center, wilderness has the orientals as the star of the show. they really aren't similar at all IMO, two totally different beasts with different tobaccos used. wilderness is sweeter, smoother, more balanced and more exotic to my tastes. did i mention i like wilderness?
