Any one using the Geeks app for tracking your cigars? What do you think of it? I have seen wine tracking apps, I thought it was a great idea so I stared looking for cigar apps for android.  Any thoughts?  Thanx

Cigar Geek has an app for android similar to your humidor on the wesite.  It synchronizes with your humidor on the website and it will post your reviews from the app to the website.  The wine app I saw was great, wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the Geek's app?

That's how I come to the site. I was looking for a humidor tracking app. I use the Cigar Geeks iPhone app. I like it. I've tried a few others and still like the CG one best.

The biggest advantage is that it integrates with the site here as mentioned above. And, there are some expected enhancements that we have already seen on the website humidor.

What questions might you have?

What you said was good.  I have been looking at different apps but wanted a recommendation from someone.  I don't want to spend alot of time entering info into a program that I'm not going to like.  I like that the Geek's synchornizes with the website, has that aspect worked well for you?  Also, does your humidor info flow through to the app as well as info from the app to the websit?  It would be a heck of a lot easier to enter your cigar info on the website rather than doing it on the phone.  Can you tell I'm not a techy, thanx.

This app like the others has a database. CG has active users to keep that DB growing, including reviews. I believe there is two way syncing. I have not found it difficult to input via my iPhone and sync for it to show via the website. When I do enter via my phone and synchronize, it works very well. I do recommend.

I appreciate your comment dougiewong, I'll probably give it a try.  Anyone with any con's re the app?

Any "cons" are quickly fixed by seƱor Pablo. He and the other admins listen to advice from users and act quickly, this app is worth every penny!  The only con I can think of is that you cannot read reviews while browsing your humidor on the geek app, no big deal really ...

Welcome David!  Oh and no, I don't use it, sorry.

I've used both this app and the Rate My Cigar app on the market.  I like that this app's DB is driven by this community.  The app itself is great - I do wish you could see ratings right on the list or in cigar details, pulled from the site.  But I use this to track my cigars and past smokes, and see how aged my sticks are - even comments indicate where/who I got them from.

I don't use the app since I have a dumb phone, but I do know that Don (Senor) Pablo is a quality guy who provides a quality service here.  I expect the app is no different.

I use both the Iphone and android app. Both work great with two way syncing. I have not even looked at any of the other offerings. The chief keeps things running smoothly. Great job Paul !! :bigthumbs:

I use the iPhone app, and it is excellent. It is nice to have everything synced between the device and the online humidor, so I can make changes wherever is convenient and it shows up everywhere.

The only "con" I have heard is that some people would  like to see the total number of cigars in a humidor, which (as far as I can tell) is not currently available on the iPhone app.

IMHO, getting the app was the best cigar accessory I have ever purchased.  Now if I could just figure out how to get it to clip the head and torch the foot. :-)

This is excatly how it happened with me. Looked for an app, found this one, liked it, and now, here I am. Although I did make the mistake of inputing everything on the phone, and then clicking "Overwrite All". That will teach me.
