The new units incorporate cutting edge technology and features that help today's cigar smokers keep their cigars fresh without the hassle of constant monitoring. Cigar Oasis, the original developer and leading manufacturer of electronic humidifiers for the cigar industry, has once again raised the bar for active, controlled humidification for the cigar smoker.
The new features include temperature reading, hi/low memory and 3-day averages for humidity, as well as low battery and low water alarms. With the exception of the largest humidifier (Magna) they will also have the ability to run using a lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
And last, but certainly not least; all units can now be connected to an optional Wi-Fi module, which provides access to the unit via website or smartphone apps for both IOS and Android users. This module will allow the user to monitor the current humidity and temperature reading, as well as view a recorded history of previous readings. The user will also be able to set alerts for irregular humidity and temperature readings, low water and low battery, and change the humidity settings remotely.
The next generation lineup will also have new names:
Cigar Oasis Ultra 2.0 – Designed for up to 100 cigar count humidors (desktop)
Cigar Oasis Excel – Designed for up to 300 cigar count humidors (large desktop)
Cigar Oasis Plus – Designed for up to 1000 cigar count humidors (end table-up to 10 cubic feet)
Cigar Oasis Magna – Designed for cigar cabinet/armoire humidors up to 60 cubic feet
Products are expected to begin reaching premium tobacconists in February 2014.
