Introduced in 1968 Cohíba cigars were meant only as protocol cigars made solely for Cuban officials and diplomats. Cohíba was not widely distributed until 1982 when 3 sizes were launched: Lanceros, Coronas Especiales and Panetelas. Then, 3 more vitolas were added to the brand in 1989: Espléndidos, Robustos and Exquisitos, completing what is known as "La Línea Clásica". In 1992, 5 more vitolas were added creating the "Linea 1492": the Siglo I, II, III, IV and V and recently the long awaited Siglo VI was released. Cohíba remains the "King of the Cubans" as well as Castro's favourite smoke, before he gave up smoking.

Cohiba 1966 Edición Limitada 2011

Highly awaited by aficionados worldwide, the Cohiba 1966 Edición Limitada 2011 has just hit the Swiss market. This Habanos Edición Limitada commemorates the 45th anniversary of Cohiba, and was made in a unique format specially selected for this occasion. These 10 Habanos (52 ring gauge x 166 mm length) with a dark wrapper dressing have been made totally by hand using a selection of the finest tobacco leaves (top leaves of the Tapado – shade grown black tobacco plant) found in the plantations of San Juan y Martínez and San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba. Produced in very limited quantites, this vitola is only available in a layer box of 10 units in a Boite Nature (BN) box

Cohiba Coronas Especiales

I have to admit this coronas has a near perfect balance between strength and aromas. Endowed with many similar qualities as the Lanceros, an elegant tweaked cap and a hint of floral flavors, this habano is milder than the gran panetela, hence it is more accessible to the intermediate and beginner smoker. The bunch sports a sophisticated mixture of medium tobacco layered with stronger, spicy tobacco. Coffee, vanilla and cocoa mingle with licorice and cedar creating an intriguingly smooth smoke in the mouth. A good cigar to age for three or four months in your humidor.

Cohiba Doble Coronas Edicion Limitada 2003

It will be worthwhile to taste one of these Cohiba Doble Corona cigars with all the Cohiba Habano exquisiteness and flavor in almost one and a half hours of Cuban cigar smoking pleasure. The Double Corona is a gift from Cohiba to Cuban cigar connoisseurs. These doble coronas have been produced in extremely reduced quantities.

Cohiba Esplendidos

Unctuously rich in the mouth, this Churchill is for the educated palate of the Cigar connoisseur. Clean cut in appearance and quintessentially regulated to create a legend in its own right, the Torcedor of the Esplendidos are truly worthy of the title of genius. This Churchill has power and yet it is never brutish. The blend of woven aromas stilts any aggressive tendencies in the taste so that wood, earth, leather, pepper and chocolate marry into each other becoming one. Pure harmony. Pure reliability. Sheer class, and a perfect way to prolong an evening of fine food and wine.

Cohiba Exquisitos

A perfect cigar for occasional smokers who look for strength rather than aggression in a small cigar. The herbaceous nature of the blend is mingled with hints of chocolate, caramel, cedar and spice. This Panetela is instant pleasure and can be enjoyed in just half an hour. A Cohiba Classic.

Cohiba Genios Maduros #5

Genios Maduros #5 an elegant, smooth and opulent cigar that will definitely make a mark on the market. If you're a larger ring gauge fan, this is one cigar not to be missed. Warm notes of toasted sweet vanilla and dark cocoa beans are immediately apparent on the palate that enjoys an opulent and well-rounded smoke.

Cohiba Lanceros Cofre

Cohiba Lanceros Cofre, this Panetela, one of Fidel Castro's favorite smokes (before he stopped smoking) is charming, elegant and very refined. It is a must try for any aficionado and an in-house favorite here at Best Cuban Cigars. Delicate flavors of fragrant flowers and sweet licorice persist in the mouth right upon ignition. Honey and spiced cedar quickly join in to mingle into fantastically aromatic finale. A little note to remember, despite the enticing flavors, a Lanceros must be enjoyed at a slow tempo so as not to overheat the experience.

Cohiba Magicos Maduros #5

Aromatically and on the palate this cigar is an absolute treat for the senses. Well-constructed, with an opulent smoke, this is a cigar that will challenge even the most experienced palates, with its sophisticated aromas of crushed pepper, dark chocolate and even a ribbon of licorice at times. The 5 years of careful aging granted to each leaf that composes this cigar, is what lends elegance and depth to the smoke.

Cohiba Panetelas

An intense, small, twenty minute Panetela that could be assimilated, with a slightly creamier finish, to the Lanceros or the Coronas Especiales. For a 26 ring gauge cigar, the variation of flavors it flaunts is quite remarkable. Beans (vanilla, cocoa, coffee) and toasted nuts tickle the taste buds for a notion of complexity suited for larger format cigars. The draw can be a little tight in the beginning but a little patience will be rewarded.

Cohiba Piramides Edicion Limitada 2001

Cohiba Piramides is a Cuban cigar that isn't particularly 'Cohiban', nor is it typically Cuban. The construction of this Habano is outstanding, however the cigar wrapper is not the usual thrice-fermented Cohiba style, but rather the '2nd generation' of the 2 year-old dark reddish-brown special edition cigar wrappers.
The Cohiba Pyramid cigar burns very evenly, a testament to its superior Habano construction. It is medium in body, not strong, with much spice and pepper tones, and a touch of leather and chocolate notes. Further on the piramide becomes slightly acidic on the lips, and showed other signs of youth, meaning this Cuban cigar will improve with ageing. In six months to 2 years, this Cohiba Piramide cigar may well become a highly unique Cuban cigar with unusual brand characteristics, and prized for its rarity considering the limited availability.

Cohiba Piramides Edicion Limitada 2006

This is a re-edition of the Limited Edition of 2001. This format, that normally does not exist in the Cohiba range, is very appreciated by Habanos smokers.

For a 26 ring gauge cigar, the variation of flavors it flaunts is quite remarkable. Beans (vanilla, cocoa, coffee) and toasted nuts tickle the taste buds for a notion of complexity suited for larger format cigars. Cohiba Secretos Maduro #5

Cohiba Secretos Maduro #5, a very flavorful Petit Corona, similar in size to the Trinidad Reyes. This new addition to the Cohiba family comes wrapped in dark leaves that were aged 5 years prior to construction. Enveloping aromas of a tight Italian coffee immediately come to mind and are quickly followed by fragrant notes of white ground pepper and Spring time honey. A treat indeed and a must try for all!

Cohiba Siglo I

True to its kinship, the Siglo I marries premium Habana tobacco with experienced craftsmanship. The blend chosen by the blend master is simple but effective in releasing notes of wood, dry tobacco and coarse salt. This Demi Corona is short, relatively thin and can be smoked very quickly. Interestingly, in all its brevity this cigar still manages to maintain an incomparable Cohiba elegance making it ever so interesting.

Cohiba Siglo II

This little Mareva, or Petit Corona, has a sober and honest disposure. Made from the finest Vuelta Abajo tobacco, the Siglo II is inviting to look at, tender to touch and very enticing to the nose. An occasional resistance on the initial draw quickly leads into a steady burn. White pepper and Cohiba's trademark grassy qualities are clearly apparent in the first half of the smoke. The second and third tier release cocoa and vanilla beans on to the palate through an impressively thick smoke. This Petit Corona is a great work-out for the palate and a true example of the Cohiba "blend master's" diligence.

Cohiba Siglo III

A Cohiba success story! The elegance of this cigar lies in its clear aromas of grilled nuts, liquorice and new leather.

http://bestcubancigars.co/cigar-shop/cohiba-siglo-iii.html

Cohiba Siglo IV

Cohiba Siglo IV, a classically exquisite corona gorda, very well constructed with creamy vanilla overtones, backed by deep chocolate nuances. Enjoy the cedar aromatics, but allow lots of time to linger over this delightful cigar. An excellent choice for your humidor. When you smoke the cigar it dances on the taste buds, twirls on the tongue, pirouettes to its culmination in a sleek and all encompassing manner. There is grace in this stogie, not just in the intricate dance performed by the flavours, but in its design and construction.

http://bestcubancigars.co/cigar-shop/cohiba-siglo-iv.html

Cohiba Siglo V

Cohiba Siglo V, a fine, very well constructed, strong cigar and an excellent after dinner smoke. Lots of rich chocolate and sweet vanilla flavours, with an abundance of earth and cedar smoke. So good with a glass of cognac, luxurious! The Siglo V is a sophisticated cigar on many levels. Firstly, the cigars aromas are light, non-dynamic flavours that are floral in guise, and hard to identify. Secondly they need to be aged for at least two years to mature the evasive aromas. Like I said "Patience" is a mantra in the world of quality cigars.

http://bestcubancigars.co/cigar-shop/cohiba-siglo-v.html

Cohiba Siglo VI

Cohiba Siglo VI, the latest in the Siglo range and many would say the best. Impressive would be the word that most comes to mind. Consistent in it's excellent quality. This cigar has it all, rich, creamy and chocolaty with nuances of vanilla, cedar and caramel. Give this cigar the time and concentration it demands as the intensity of flavour and aroma only increases. A sublime smoking experience.

Cohiba Sublimes Edicion Limitada 2004

This richly maduro Cohiba Sublimes Edición Limitada 2004 is a full bodied Cuban cigar, exploding with cocoa, coffee and heavenly tobacco flavors, these Cohiba Sublimes cigars are the largest Habanos currently in production with their colossal 54 ring gauge. The leaves for the Cohiba Sublimes Limited Edition 2004 were carefully selected from the top of the cigar plant and were aged for two years prior to blending.

LawDaddy

The spammers are always pushing Cohiba.  That can't be coincidental.

This is a post from one of the people that have ad space here, and it is in the correct forum (not SPAM).  I'm sure that our international brothers might find it interesting.

I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

Should relate this to the thread on the failure of our Cuban policy http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?topic=27300.0
