The 84% Rh Boveda packs in the pictures are seasoning the sealed box even as we speak.

This has been in the works for a few months. Something to do during the long winter.

A humidor (external dimensions 13 x 13 x 24 inches) made of quartersawn African mahogany. Dovetail joinery. Lined with Spanish cedar.

Four 10 x 10" trays made of Honduran mahogany. With free space below for maybe a dozen cabinet selection type boxes of cigars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabinet_selection

Crumb catcher on the floor of the humidor -- also of Honduran mahogany -- intended to help with air movement.

Total capacity is 700 Churchill sized cigars.

Will use three or four extra large tubes of 65% Rh Heartfelt beads, as I find myself preferring denser, more tightly packed sticks.

Kept down in the cellar where it never gets over 70°F.

The guy who made it couldn't have been nicer, more competent, fairer or more into it.

Now I must do my best to help support the farmers of Jalapa.

A few folks asked me about pricing, so below I've included contact info for JDNelson, the craftsman who built it.

I am not a rep. No financial interest whatsoever. Just a very happy customer who had the good fortune to find this old school craftsman, who is a FANATIC about building humidors

If you really want to show off, post a pic in your post. Although I'm an IT guy, the security here at work blocks any attempts to sharing sites so I can't see the pic

That looks pretty sweet. Looks like a great capacity. Would I be prying to ask how much. I have a friend who is retiring from the SEALS and was thinking about getting one done

Very nice!! Could you post some pictures of the outside of the box? It certainly looks like he did not cheap out on the Spanish cedar lining!

I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

that should last you six months or so if you hang out around here for very long.... :cigarman:

I'm home now, just saw it, what a beautiful piece. Very unique looking, love the finish.

How long do you think it will take to fill it

Don't be embarrassed to say that at all! You should be happy to say that!

A very nice humidor!  I was impressed with the use of quality wood and as stated before, the thick Spanish cedar lining.  Surely you will get many years of use with it

That is a beautiful humi. As I continue to outgrow my desktops I've been tossing around the idea of a custom humi vs wineador.
