Well, at 1:00 today we close on our 'dream home'.
It is just 2 miles from where we currently live but it has some land and backs up to the Arkansas river.
The only thing is it doesn't have a covered smoking area...............yet!

We have been in the same home for 15 years now and I have forgotten how much work and stress buying and moving is.
And just as fate has it, the weather is going to be cold and rainy for the next several days while we are moving in.

Oh well, life is good.

I have just started the final phase of my remodeling of our home which is re-facing the kitchen cabinets..  Well,  I did remove all the old doors and drawer faces this past weekend......

A HUGE CONGRATS on the new house! It looks brand new! Gorgeous brick, and the pool outback is excellent! Many fun times will be had I'm sure. Moving once every 15years or so is about worth it, I've been doing it annually or at least semi-annually lately... We also just bought a house, but ours is to avoid the constant moving... Anyways, CONGRATS again! Lookin good!

Beautiful home!  I did see an umbrella table out back - did you happen to negotiate that into the deal?  If so there's your stop gap until you build the lanai.

You don't need a covered smoking area, just a floating device to lounge on while smoking a cigar! Congratulations!!    :bigthumbs:

Wow, beautiful looking home, congratulations! As a comparatively brand new homeowner, I can completely and recently relate to the buying and moving stress. I hope all goes smoothly for you!

Congrat's, thats a nice looking place David.
I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

Thanks to everyone for all your comments.
Closing is done and we have moved everything in except the furniture/large items.  We already have about 75% of the boxes unpacked.  :dancing:
The movers will be here this morning, but we have one little problem.  Mother Nature.
It is supposed to rain all day with 20 mph winds and a high of 39 degrees.
On the bright side, at least it won't be snowing
