While your thinking about it...please take some time to add your review of today's smoke to the database.

I always review a cigar right after I smoke one, since its usually after work and have nothing to do anyway  :shades:

It's a great way to track what I smoked and what I liked and disliked.  Lately, I've liked everything....  guess I'll have to keep smoking until I find out I don't like  :dancing:

That's exactly what I do to.  I submit a review immediately after I finish smoking.  But you're right, Larry.  It's always awesome to keep seeing those reviews pour in and see what others out there are enjoying.

I obsessively do reviews and update my humidor right after I smoke.

Sometimes it takes me awhile to write a review, because I am smoking the cigar while reviewing it. I dont review every cigar because,if I dont write it down, I might forget important aspects. Sometimes I smoke 4-5 cigars a day, and they tend to meld together in my mind. As a matter of fact, Im smoking an AF 858 maduro right now, but Ive already reviewed it.

I usully write down what I think about a cigar while I am smoking it in my journal then when I remember review it here. Just started doing the journal thing so I have to go back and smoke a bunch of cigars that I had before the journal. To bad right ? another excuse to smoke more cigars lol

I do that as well.  I like to write down all the aromas, flavors, behavior of the cigar (like evenness of the burn, the length of the burn) and the construction.  But usually, right away after I'm done smoking, I get right on here, update my online humidor and submit my review.

Good day, or night gentlemen.
I have a question that I am unsure of the answer to.
I have tried  the CI legends, Maroon label today a week or so ago also.
I noticed that it was not in the database, and so added it in.
I know that it says that it may take a few days to show up, which I do of course understand, however it also says that it needs to be reviewed to be added to the database.
How do I add a review to a cigar that is not yet added to the database ?

Thank you for your help.
I'm sure it's a simple answer that I am missing.

This is one of the few places I actually do reviews,,,having been a member on other sites it seems to get lost in those forums,,,,but here it actually makes a difference and I enjoy posting reviews on here because I think people appreciate it more,,,I know I do.

Hi Mark.  Thanks for the submission.  I just approved it and it is in the DB now.  You can enter a review for it.

Thanks!

Thank You Paul.

I didn't expect that you'd be able to get it into the database so quickly, or asking that it be done with haste.
I just wondered if I was missing some part of the process and I was causing my own problems.

Thanks again.

I'll tell you ONE thing it does for me.....

Saturday at the B & M, a stogie was recommended to me that I thought I had never tried.....   Checked the database, found my review....  Smoked something different....

I wish I could do that.  I really don't have a cell phone any more that I could use to get online quick and check something like that.  I'm sure it comes in handy just for those occausions.

I always look at my previous smokes for my reviews to see if I actually liked a particular stick or not.  Obviously, the ones that I really like a lot I remember, but the ones that were not so memorable are good to look at when you think about lighting another one up.

Somehow I think this is probably just because of my age.  Can't remember sh*t anymore.  I read some of my reviews and it's like -- Did I really like that one because I don't even remember smoking the damn thing.......... :?:

Smoke on.......

Besides the fun and info in the forums, I think the database, reviews and virtual humidor are the best tools available anywhere.  I am obsessive about keeping my vhumi up to date, and I put short comments in there.  The "Previously Smoked" section is my quick-list for checking what I have liked and hated.  The database and reviews/ratings give the dirty details. I can't imagine doing this hobby without all the resources here at CG!

28,158 cigars in the database so far.  I do believe that we have the most authoritative list on the internet and maybe anywhere.
