Since you fun folks  have got me re-enthused about cigars, I am now involved in a major undertaking:  Re-organizing and taking inventory of my collection.

I wasn't that I really lost enthusiasm or anything like that.  It's just that I got very lazy about keeping track of what I smoked, where I put new cigars, deleting those I gave away over the last couple years, etc.  I gave my oldest son a couple of my desktop humidors and cigars to fill them, and did the same for one of my nephews.  Right now, my "online humidor" shows 789 cigars in 22 separate desktop humidors!  I know both figures are off, but I'm afraid to guess in which direction.

Wish me luck!

I have a similar undertaking (on a much smaller scale) that I plan on knocking out soon... It keeps it interesting! Good luck!

Honestly, to me sorting through the collection and getting the inventory list right is kindof fun, part of my deranged engineering mind makeup I guess...so HAVE FUN!   :-)

I know, it is kind of neat.  I've got lots of cigars that were given to me by folks that are around here anymore.  They bring back memories.

You're missing a golden opportunity David.  I'm pretty sure if Chuck put me in charge of that I would've discovered he only had half the Flatbeds he thought he did.

Just did that my self A month or so ago. Unfortunately I was off quite a bit on my count and after re inventorying everything I have realized I need to purchase some more cigars. Unfortunately the wife has not been agreeable to that recently so despite all my pleading and begging I wont be doing any refilling for some time.
I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

Consolidate!

Yeah, I know.  But with temp and humidity swings here in Jacksonville (not unlike those in NOLA), I prefer not to have all my "eggs in one basket".

I too enjoy and dread inventorying my humidors. Thankfully I keep track of what I'm getting in and what is going out of my humis pretty well. Being able to track my cigars and keep notes on what I like and don't like is how I found this site in the first place.

sounds fun..... i can never get them all to fit back in. i suck at Tetris i guess. the last time i tried an inventory is when i bought the app and joined the site. if i had only known then... i gave up after an hour and haven't had the app on my phone for years.

My virtual humidor is so far off what i have or don't have anymore. It's hard to find time to get it all organized again.

X2 I really have just given up. I'd much rather smoke em instead of inventorying them. :smoker: But :goodluck: !!
