Well, I finally got one of these things done that I had been talking about for a while. It's a shadow box with a cigar box in it and cigar bands all around it. LOTS of hot glue! Finding time for this kind of thing has been slim lately, but the rain here lately has given me a little more time to get to some indoor stuff. Outside dimensions are 21"x 17", so this is not the little shadow box. Quite a few bands in there, tried to mix it up. Some are deliberate "mess ups' as a signature.

Looks pretty cool! How did you get the bands so uniform? Did you wrap them around wooden rods or similar?

Yes, they are actually wrapped and hot glued around dowel rods that I painted.

It looks great. I'm a sucker for uniformity and symmetry. I really like the way it turned out because of that.

Oh, and what "mess up"? Got me playing where's waldo and I don't know what waldo looks like!
