Hello everyone,

I recently came across a box of Ritmester Corona Delecta's they had been hidden away for what I presume must be many years. Soemone told me that he thought that had been lying around for over ten years. There are 10 in a red velvet box and were still in the plastic wrapper and metal tubes. I took about 3 months to bring them back to the right humidity in a seperate humidor slowly raising the levels a little every week. I managed only to loose 1. Im trying to put a real age and value on these cigars. The box has the seal sticker on it and it says Canada 133 on it. It also says series 6. There is also a stamp on the bottom of the box that reads "10 sigaren 777" and "Made in Holland". Any information i can get on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the site!  Sounds like you have an exciting find.  I called a buddy of mine who owns a cigar shop.  He did some quick digging and found little.   What he did find was that these things are not real popular in the US and there are very few distributors of them here, which leads us to believe that someone probably carried them over here from Europe.  Oddly enough these are apparently very popular in Asian markets.  He also thinks that they now seem to ship in gold tubes often in plastic cases but with the same red logo design you speak of.  So it sounds like what you have may indeed be of an older vintage.  It will be hard to tell exactly how old though.  Good luck and let us know how they smoke.  Being so unique i'd love to see them in the Cigar DB.

Cheers!

I think I remember having one of these a long time ago overseas.  Wasn't a big fan
