There's a little story behind this.  I made a friend on Facebook (no, get your minds out of the gutter!) through a couple of groups revolving around the history and community of my area of Jacksonville.  A couple of weeks ago, she posted on FB via her phone about having computer issues and she was very upset.  She does lots of work for various charities and had some reports she had to get done, but somehow had managed to get some nasty ransom-ware on her computer.  I called her and said to give me an hour and I'd come over and see what I could do.  I put a couple of anti-malware programs on my thumb-drive and headed her way.  Fighting not only the malware but a dismally slow DSL connection as well, it took about three hours to clean her laptop, update some things and get her back up and running. When I was through, she asked me what I owed her.  I told her a hug and a thank you was plenty, and I meant it.  She was almost in tears.  Well, she showed up at my band's gig last night...

Thanks, Hank.  For the record, Hank and I have known each other since the 9th grade and he's pretty good peeps hisowndamself!

Nice reward, made better since it was unexpected

The poor gal was like a fish out of water.  She told me she went to one of the hi-fallutin' over-priced cigar-bar places and was being assisted by a young lady in a push-up bustierre and high heels when she remembered me mentioning the local liquor store chain, who has some well-maintained humidors and reasonably knowledgeable staff.  I was just really surprised and touched that she went through all the effort.  She has some health issues and walks with a cane most of the time.  The cigar bar she went to ain't just around the corner, after all.  Even with the cheaper prices at the liquor store, I'm afraid to venture a guess at what she spent.

That's awesome all the way around. Great for you to help her out and really cool of her to go way out of her way to get you a little something in return.
