when you are moderating or participating in one what do you like?

I like to watch the puts and takes, for some reason I find that interesting. I even watch ones I'm not in or have already acted in.

does help me with learning what is comparable and other geek's tastes.

I think my favorite part is opening the box when I get it.  It's usually such an impressive set of diverse and quality cigars, you just gotta look it over and enjoy the sight.

Secondly, I like to see how many of my puts get taken before the pass ends, gives me an idea if they were perceived as good/interesting.

As I mentioned in your pass thread I like the opportunity to grab a couple sticks I have probably been wanting to try but just haven't purchased for whatever reason. And I agree with both of you, I like to just watch the P&Ts, I love getting a package in the mail even if I have to send it on it's way and it's always nice if the cigars I put are appreciated. I always try to put cigars that I enjoy.
This is not the admin you're looking for...

I like the fact that there are so many cigars that come in a pass that you can try ones that you would never get to try for some reason or another.

My favorite part thus far has been opening the box at the end of the pass and seeing how the contents evolved over time. It's also great to see the generosity of people here - I like pulling some of the "bonus" sticks out and sending them around to redistribute the wealth.

For most of the reasons that have been mentioned already. Mainly being able to try something new that I probably might not even come across.

I won't lie, I like to watch turns after me to see who pulls my puts, and I hope whoever does enjoys it as much as me, since that is why I put it.

I also like to get in the passes where the really crazy stuff comes out, fun to see what some folks have stashed away that sneaks into passes.  Some crazy high dollar and unicorn stuff is fun to watch!

The put and takes are fun to watch, although I've not been in one for a very long time just being in a pass is fun.  :dancing:

I am at the point that I have more sticks than I can conceivably smoke in a lifetime. So I enjoy putting in cigars that are harder to get, either due to local availability or that are discontinued, so that others get a shot at them.
