Thanks fellas. I have a good buddy that shares my same exact birthday, and we started a tradition a few years ago of having a texas hold'em poker party on or near our birthday complete with plenty of stogies, spirits, and side-splitters. Best birthday party idea ever.
I hadn't won at any of these parties until this year. It actually came down to me and him and after about 10 hands back and forth I went all in before the flop since it was already 1:30AM and I had a strong hand, he called me. It was then that we realized we both had the same exact chip count. Winner of this hand takes it all. We shook hands, flipped over our cards and we both had Jack-King! The hand was a push. We decided it was probably one of the few times the game really needed to end in a tie and we split the pot.
It was a great birthday. I'm blessed far beyond what I deserve with a wonderful family and great friends to help celebrate.
