That is my take away from the Ohio State press conference last night.  Meyer read his statement like he was reading his colonoscopy report and looked like he had another one in 5 mins.  Didnt show any remorse, blamed others

That is my take away from College Football in General.

I agree with John, college football in general is all about the money.

Urban is a dick.

How about an option in the poll to select "WTF are you talking about?".

I second that!

As a fan...My thoughts are that they didn't find what he did as a fireable offense...but they suspended him for 3 games so everyone could get their "pound of flesh".  So I lean towards make it look like they cared...I do think they care...But I think the punishment is purely to appease those outside the school. I mean let's face it...he was tried in the media before they even started the investigation...

For me...the deletion of texts is concerning...That can be explainable...not sure I buy it...but the guy is the HC from one of the top programs in the nation...the amount of texts he gets could fill a phone quickly.  However, if it is a real lynch pin...they can go to the phone provider to subpoena that info...

I think Zac Smith is a complete scumbag...and Urban's devotion to Earle Bruce blinded him to certain things...Whether you like the guy or not (and I was in the not camp for some time based on his time in Florida) Urban's character is pretty well known...and I don't think it unreasonable to say that he would not deliberately dismiss this situation with full knowledge....just to win a couple football games????...He can get just about any coach he wants to replace any of his coaching staff.

The followup article talking about Smith's actions at the White House and sending sex toys to the OSU office...Some are taking this as proof that Smith was treated differently...No....No, it only proves that Smith was a real dirt bag.  The only way it proves a double standard is if they can prove the Administration KNEW about it...And I highly doubt they did...JMO...

But yeah out of the choices in the poll...I would say...make people think they care...
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken....

Before today, I had no idea a person named Urban Meyer was a coach, much less existed.  IDGAF.

I'd rather have a cigar...

The culture is whatever it takes to win....personally I thought the press conference was a disgrace.  No apology, no remorse.  Essentially, they gave him a three game suspension hoping that would be enough for the general public to assume he got what was coming.  The way I took it was they put the football program ahead of a woman who was being abused.  Suddenly deleting texts once you know you are being investigated....seriously, they thought that should just be ignored.  I think it is fairly obvious he knew and took the side of his friend and coach over the wife.  I mean he instituted policies against strip clubs and porn on university issued devices SPECIFICALLY in response to things this dude did.  That is the kind of person he would defend?  It's a joke.  But the program isn't going to fire a guy that is considered a top 3 coach and suffer through 3-5 years of rebuilding.

I hope that she sues every one of them...Ohio State, the AD, Meyer, the investigators, anybody who touched this and essentially ignored her.

Look, I am an Alabama fan.  I get wanting to win.  But if I found out Nick Saban was harboring a clown like this, I could no longer support him or a program that turned a blind eye until all involved parties were removed.  Some things are more important than football, well at least I thought they were.
