Random quote: The rich smell of tobacco, wafting through the Marlins' dugout from one of Jack McKeon's cigars. He had four cigars in his front pocket, and smoked in peace in the corner of the dugout two hours before the game. "It's hard to get away," he said. - The Palm Beach Post (archived)

My son knows how much I like Balvenie Doublewood. When he was in the Air Force, I would get him to buy it for me at the base and it was $49 per bottle. A great price.

So.......he ran across a limited production and being the thoughtfull son he is, he bought me a bottle.

The Balvenie Week of Peat 14 Year...............It's like drinking a gaint cup of peat ash. OMG!

Didn't have the heart to tell him it's not my bag so I just told him it's ok but it only takes a few sips here and there.

Nice of him to bring you a bottle. Too bad you aren't into the peat monsters. But here are some ideas what you can do with the bottle he gave you:

Jay, that is one of my favorites, but boy how the price has gone up since the 25% US tariff hike on EU goods
