Time for a new hygrometer...i think

I suspected my hygrometer was off so I did the calibration test as talked about in one of the articles on the site.  I did it first in some cheap glad tupperware crap the wife had laying around.  It was really off (by 8 degrees).  So I did it again in a ziplock bag and it was off by about 10 degrees.  So I split the diff and decided to adjust by 9 degrees using the screw on the back.  When I tried to turn it, the entire face (numbers and all) started turning with the needle as well.  I gave it few quick turns to try to break whatever was sticking free and it seemed to turn ok then.  Now my humidor reads about 72 and i was thinking of trying to lower the RH, but now i'm thinkin its just time to replace the sucker.  Or at least get another one to compare with.

So i'm thinkin about a digital one since I hear they have a pretty good track record, but I want to get a decent cheap one.  Any suggestions?

Its may be time to replace the old hygrometer.  Digital can be had fairly cheap.  I've never owned one myself but you can get them on ebay for under $20 easy.

I got my $10 one on Ebay, but I don't recommend that one. I had to send it back for a replacement. They have better ones for $16-19 and if you can invest $25 you can probably get one that will be very exact. My problem is I have so many humidors.
