Got an e-mail today from CI offering pre-registration to Cigar Fest.  The question is?

Is it worth it getting up at 4 a.m CST to get a ticket not to mention the travel to and from PA?

nwb

Funny you should mention this.  My brother lives about 4 hours from the resort and asked if I'd like to come up for it.  That would be a pretty expensive trip, though....

Is it in Tennessee?

Both you and I wish - I'd drive to TN!

It is at Split Rock Resort in PA.

A wise geek once told me that moving up from a daily smoke to a weekly or even bi-monthly smoke would be worth it, if I could learn how to appreciate a really really good cigar. -southernrun

I was pondering about going.  Its a little less than a 4 hour drive for me, but after I went to their site and saw the videos of past years events, I'm not so sure its for me.  Lots of standing in long lines!

If I lived within driving distance, I'd have to go one year.  I'm not a fan of large crowds or lines, either, but I've heard it is a blast.  Plus there are lots of freebies. :shades:

I'm pre registered as well.  I've been there the past 2 years and had a great time, wouldn't miss it.  As far as long lines, it goes really quick.  It's not like you are waiting and waiting, and besides their is alcohol samples as well.  I usually go up on Friday night for the Rocky Patel party at BenchWarmers, and drive up again Saturday morning for the event.  (I'm only 22 miles away)

We had to use the auction last year and get Cigar Nut Tickets.  Hopefully with the pre registration, things will be better, but I doubt it.

I was pre registered as well but sadly even though I was up for 5am tickets were sold out in less than 2 minutes. I will be going no matter how much I pay on the CI Auction. I went last year and had a blast. The treament I got from Americans (I'm Canadian) was incredible! I suggest you go for all the freebies. I think I came home with close to 100 free cigars and lighters and ashtrays and other cigar stuff. GO GO GO!!!

I think one of the goals for this year's cigarfest was to cut down on the Canadians.
