I was busy today with work, but managed to catch the last 20 minutes of the La Gloria Serie N "Live Smokeout" on the link above. It was just 4 guys from the company online on a webcam, taking calls from B&M's around the country. Boring, but a good idea, I guess.

The better idea was the free cigars they gave away via the Cigar Aficionado magazine coupon.

Nope. Totally forgot what day it was. Oh well, my two Serie N JSB's are resting comfortably in my humidor for when I decide to have my own smoke out.  :smoker:

Underpacked, so it kind of ruined the experience. I have a smaller vitola I will try one day.

I heard on the broadcast that they perform better when stored at around 65%. This one was in the only humidor I have that maintains a perfect 70% and, yes, it acted like a wet cigar--something that had been stored at 80%.

I haven't found very many yet that are at their best at 70%... Even a few percentage points lower seems to make most sticks work better for me...

I was wondering if anyone would check it out. I'm looking forward to trying the one Bob sent me.

Didn't know about the event, but I have smoked one and have another resting. IMHO, overall a pretty good cigar if you're in the mood for something dark, dense, and peaty.  Pour a scotch with it!

Interesting concept for La Gloria to do.  Lots of chatter about it on Twitter.

Picked one up at a local B&M about a week ago.  Asked the clerk what size did the coupon cover, he said it didn't matter.  Grabbed the Serie N 58 (6 1/2x 58) along with a couple of Brickhouse 60's.  The bigger the better?
