There is not a lot know about this one but here is what was published by Halfwheel - "The star of the show is the Viaje Skull and Bones M?stery BP 2018, the first M?stery release since 2015. The company declined to disclose any further details about the cigar, but it’s listed as “BP” a likely sign that it is box-pressed.

This cigar was enjoyed with nothing

Pre-Light: 20 Points of 20 Possible

This is a good looking cigar.  It has a dark, oily wrapper that has no prominent veins and very clean seams.  The cap cut nicely with a guillotine and the foot was tightly and cleanly closed.  there were no soft spots on the firm, but not hard body.  it had a sweet and peppery aroma.

Light & Burn: 11 Points of 15 Possible

The ash was a solid grey that held up nicely, it burned at a nice pace, but went out right at the start of the second third and I had to relight.  A good amount of smoke output.  The burn was a bit uneven towards the middle through the end.

Construction: 26 Points of 30 Possible

This cigar was well constructed but it did burn a bit uneven after the middle.  The draw was very smooth with just the right amount of resistance.  The cap held perfectly. No major issues, just an odd relight.

Flavor: 31 Points of 35 Possible

This was a smooth medium to medium full cigar that had a few different flavors going on.  The cold draw led me to believe that this was going to be a sweet and spicy cigar, but I was a little surprised throughout.
1st Third - Peppery with a background of a sweet cedar with lots of cedar on the retrohale.  a solid medium.
2nd Third - Cedar takes charge and the strength picks up slightly, but not too much.
Final Third - I started picking up some floral notes with the cedar and pepper comes back at the end.  The cigar finishes at a medium/full.

Summary

Thanks to Brian for letting me participate in this GC.  Overall I enjoyed this cigar even with the relight.  It was balanced with a little bit of complexity in the flavors.  The burn wasn't perfect, but it did not ruin the experience or need any major touching up.  I would definitely smoke this again!
