This cigar was enjoyed with Bourbon

Pre-Light: 19 Points of 10 Possible

Nice leathery wrapper with a few veins and a slightly oily sheen. Very pleasant sweet tobacco aroma. Barrel is pretty firm with no soft spots. Cap is well applied and smooth. V cut flawlessly and the prelight draw matched the prelight aroma with a touch of graham.

Light & Burn: 15 Points of 15 Possible

Great volume of smoke immediately.  Very nice solid ash that showed a nice pale grey and held for a good inch and a half. Burn line was razor sharp and never got wavy.  No relights at all. Burn time was on par for size, about an hour.

Construction: 29 Points of 30 Possible

Both wrapper and cap are perfect. The fill is nice and full but not packed so tight it affects the draw. Seams are noticeable but tight. The draw is spot on, not too tight not to open. Typical of Crowned Heads in my opinion.

Flavor: 34 Points of 45 Possible

Initial taste of sweet tobacco with some baking spices.  The finish is very earthy. A slight touch of dried fruit came in. Halfway in to the first third the flavors went crazy! So many great flavors I honestly lost track! A touch of spice, leather, fruit, floral notes, hardwood, graham, and even a taste of cinnamon,  it was all in there. This was all the way to the last half inch!

Summary

This was a great cigar! I honestly almost called it perfect. My only "complaint" would be the size, I just don't dig churchills too much anymore. Other than that, awesome.  Try this cigar! I truly appreciate the opportunity to try this smoke, it was a real honor for me.
