Pre-Light: 18 Points of 10 Possible

Perfect construction, firm feel, no soft spots with the cap cutting nicely. Really nice pre-light flavors of leather and a hint of coffee. A solid looking and feeling stick that I'm looking forward to lighting up.

Light & Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The Chaveta light nicely with the first ash being around two inches with inch to inch and a half white ashes following. There were no re-lights required but I did touch of the burn a couple of times. Very minor. Smoke production was nice, with the smoke being enjoyable and thick. Burn was a little wavy at times.

Construction: 28 Points of 30 Possible

Cap construction was perfect. Used a xikar guillotine cutter to slice off the end. Wrapper was solid, very small veins. Draw was perfect for this cigar, not to tight or to free. The wrapper is dark, and extremely oily. I can feel the oils still on my hand as I set the stick down and prepare for the light.

Flavor: 31 Points of 45 Possible

1st third - Flavors start out nicely with a good big of pepper especially when retrohaleing with I do a few times a stick. Enough to feel it but not every other puff. The cedar flavors I really felt stood out in this cigar. The first third was great.

2nd third - I'd say its devolving into a medium to medium plus stick. Smoke is real nice and creamy. Finish is long, flavors are cedar and somewhat earthy but nothing to dark. Nice and enjoyable 2nd third.

Final third - I'd say the cigar gets a bit more full here reaching a good medium-full. The stick isn't quite as creamy now but still has some good flavors. I'm getting closer to the end now and still has more of a leather like flavor as the dominant flavor.

Summary

This was a great stick from Mark over at Tower Cigars. I'd like to thank him for sponsoring a great cigar and look forward to smoking the rest of them to see how the sizes compare to each other. Will try to smoke the corona gorda next because he told me it was the second best stick.
